BMW India announced Thursday the launch of their new BMW X4M40i in India, priced at Rs96.22 lakh (ex-showroom). Limited units of the luxury SUV are available exclusively at BMW Online Shop. PTI reported that the BMW X4 M40i can be purchased in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).

The luxury SUV comes with a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 265 kW/360hp and 500 Nm of torque at 1,900-5,000 rpm.
BMW claims the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds, with a maximum speed of 250km/h. The 48-volt hybrid technology provides better performance, lower fuel consumption, and improved driving comfort.
The 8-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission provides smooth and almost imperceptible shifts.
BMW xDrive is the intelligent all-wheel-drive technology that is installed in the luxury SUV. It monitors driving conditions and responds quickly to maintain maximum traction and agility, as well as vehicle stability. BMW also says that the M Sport differential will improve traction by controlling power distribution to each wheel.

The new X4 M401 has a coupe-SUV shape. The M kidney grille, with its chrome frame and double kidney bars in black high-gloss, shows off the athleticism of the vehicle. The slim Adaptive Headlamps give the car a more focused look. The X4 M40i’s rear features free-form tailpipes in black with two “teeth,” which emphasize the modernity and progress of this Sports Activity Coupe.
Standard on the SUV are 20-inch Jet Black M double-spoke light alloy wheels 699M. The tires used at the front and rear are mixed at 245/45 R20. Red high gloss brake calipers are available for M Sport brakes.
