Ducati will unveil its latest innovation: the Superquadro Mono. This groundbreaking single-cylinder motor is the first in over 30 years. Ducati claims that the Superquadro Mono engine is the world’s most powerful single-cylinder. HT Auto reported that this eagerly anticipated motor will make its debut alongside a new motorcycle on November 2nd.
The report adds that based on spy photos, the design of the next motorcycle is inspired by the Hypermotard. Ducati’s stated intention is to unveil a motorcycle with essential qualities, such as being lightweight and agile. It will be a true “fun-bike,” infused racing heritage. Specific details of the bike are still scarce at this stage.

Ducati provided some insight into the new Superquadro Mono motor. This 659cc engine is derived directly from the 1285cc Superquadro motor of the Panigale 1299. The Superquadro Mono is notable for its Ducati Desmodromic System and the incorporation of several key components taken from the Panigale Engine, such as the 116mm piston diameter, combustion chamber shape, and 46.8mm titanium intake valves, and 38.2mm steel exhaust valves. The engine specifications include a stroke of 62.4 mm and a bore of 116 mm.
Superquadro Mono engines deliver a power output of 76.43 bhp (9,750 rpm), which can be enhanced further to 83.34 bhp (9,500 rpm) when equipped with Termignoni exhaust systems. The engine’s torque is rated at 62.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm with a maximum speed of 10,250 rpm. The machine is Euro 5 compliant.
Ducati offers a version of the engine that is tuned for A2 license holders. Oil changes are recommended every 15,000 kilometers, while valve clearances are adjusted every 30,000 kilometers.
Nexon
The Superquadro Mono will have ride-by-wire with three power modes to choose from: High, Low, and Medium. Ducati fine-tuned gear ratios based on the Panigale V4 to make the motorcycle equipped with a six-speed transmission. The first gear has been elongated in order to make it easier to use when negotiating slower corners and fully utilize the power available. The gearbox can also be paired up with Ducati Quick Shift for seamless up- and downshifts.
