- Engines are the most important part of this truck’s upgrade. The base powertrain, which will replace the Hemi, is still the 3.6-liter Pentastar with the eTorque system. Ram’s new trucks will have a 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 that produces 420 hp and 469 lb.-ft. Of torque.
- The top of the line is a Hurricane I6, a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that produces 540 hp and 521 lb.-ft. Of torque. Ram has assigned the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission to handle all three power units.

- You might wonder if it’s better or worse. The base Hemi V8 5.7-liter, soon to be replaced with the Hurricane’s lower performance, makes 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. Of torque. If you don’t have a calculator handy, this is a boost of 25 horsepower and 59 lb. ft. of torque. The Hurricane’s higher output is not as impressive when compared to the Hemi 6.2-liter.
- The 6.2-liter engine produced 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. Of torque. Ram engineers have some room to improve the powertrain at the highest level. Dodge’s next-generation DragPak engines are based on Hurricane platforms, so it is no surprise that the company can get absurd power out of the machine.
- The 2025 Ram 1500 TRX is the TRX minus the Hemi 6.2-liter V8.
- The engine of the new Ram is not the only story to tell. The latest Ram 1500 RHO will replace the TRX and its ultra-premium Tungsten emblem. The Ram 1500 Tungsten beats Ram 1500 Limited as the most well-equipped rig.
- The new trim features an interior indigo-sea salt with a microsuede headliner. It also comes with a Klipsch 23-speaker sound system and 24-way power and massaging seats. The Ram 1500 Tungsten has a custom fascia on the exterior that gives it a more luxurious and less truck-like look.

- The Ram 1500 RHO will replace the Ram 1500TRX in the Ram truck lineup by Q3 2024. This truck is essentially the TRX but without the Hemi 6.2-liter engine. Tim Kuniskis, Ram’s boss, even said, “It will be identical to the TRX except that instead of a Hemi supercharged, it’ll use that [Hurricane] engine.”
- It isn’t good for TRX fans who love the TRX’s roaring roar. But it’s great for truck lovers who like how it performs off-road and may appreciate better fuel economy.

- There are some minor updates to the Ram ’25, but nothing major. Ram will upgrade the 12-inch base media system to a touchscreen with a higher resolution and offer a 14.5-inch media screen.
- Ram’s is also adding a 10.25″ media screen for the front passenger. This can be used to navigate, control connected devices, or watch media. Passengers will be able to see what the exterior cameras are visiting, which can come in handy if you need to.

- It is expected that the ’25 Ram’s hands-free driving assist system will make commuters’ lives easier. The onboard power converter offers 1.8 kilowatts of power to two outlets in the bed.
- The touchscreen controls the inverter, which only works when the truck is in the park. It could also be used in motion for Pentastar-equipped rigs. The upgrades are completed by a digital rearview with tow mode.

- Ram hasn’t yet revealed the pricing of the 2025 Ram trucks, but, likely, the base V6 Rams won’t deviate too much from the current truck base price of $40,565. The price of trucks with Hurricane engines may be restructured compared to existing models. The RHO could be more affordable than TRX, which costs nearly six figures. Pricing should be available in 2024.

- Skeptics claim that autonomous vehicle operations are a Rube Goldberg machine, which exists primarily to benefit companies that sell and service autonomous vehicles. At the same time, the costs of fleet operators remain.
- The labor unions claim that the transition to self-driving cars and trucks will not even result in cost savings to the industry for a long time, if at all, because of the costs and infrastructure required.
It is known that robotaxis have coding to govern their behavior when solid objects are driven over, like traffic cones. However, it is unknown to what extent a Cruise Robotaxi can classify these objects and make appropriate decisions.
Cruise previously claimed, in defense of its robotaxi, that the car began braking 460 milliseconds before a pedestrian was detected walking into its path. This is much faster than any human being could react.
